What We Believe

In line with the Church of the Nazarene, we affirm historic Christian faith:

• There is one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments reveal everything necessary for faith and holy living.
• All people are born with a fallen nature and naturally inclined toward sin.
• Those who persist in rejecting God’s grace remain eternally separated from Him.
• The atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are sufficient for the whole human race.
• Anyone who repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is forgiven, made new, and set free from the dominion of sin.
• Believers are called to be sanctified wholly by faith in Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit for holy living.
• The Holy Spirit bears witness to both the new birth and the work of entire sanctification in the believer’s life.
• Jesus Christ will return, the dead will be raised, and God will bring final judgment and restoration.

We worship through hymns, prayer, preaching, and a deep love for God’s Word. Come as you are – we simply love sharing the gospel and the love of Jesus.

Our Pastor

Pastor Rick West grew up in the Church of the Nazarene. Like many teenagers, he wandered for a season, chasing what the world seemed to offer. But the Lord graciously pursued him.

In 1991, on the way to work, Rick became deeply aware that Jesus truly loved him and had given His life for Rick’s sins. The very next day, on a Sunday in February, he went to church and knelt at the altar to receive the gift of salvation.

Only a short time later, Rick sensed God’s call to ministry. He began preparing through ministerial training and faithful service – teaching youth, singing in the choir, ushering, driving the church bus, and serving wherever he was needed.

Rick and Patty met in 2007 and were married in 2008. Since then, they have served side by side, joyfully following God’s call and shepherding His people together here in Moore.
